As much as I can't stand working in customer service at times, I must admit that it is the most entertaining job I've ever had.
Sure, I love talking to people about movies, actors, entertainment weekly, etc. I'm a walking imdb for crying out loud.
But the best part about my job is the stupid customers. Even if at the time, they annoy the crap out of me, I always end up laughing about it later.
For instance, some old guy came into work today looking for the movie "Babes in Toy Land". When I looked it up on the computer, it said the movie was in the kids section. So I go over to get it for him and bring it back...only to see a shocked look on his face. He quickly said, "Oh, that's not the right one... do you guys have a porn section?"
Okay, seriously? I mean... are you kidding me? This guy had to be in his 70's, first of all. Ew. And secondly, who would actually think Hollywood Video has a porno section? Granted, we do have a few movies that might as well be porno's, but still... a whole section devoted to it? And where did he even hear about "Babes in Toy Land"?
Crusty old perv.
More importantly, who the crap would name a kids movie "Babes in Toy Land"? They couldn't think of a better name than that?
The stories I could tell you from work are endless. I could write a freakin' book. But I find myself laughing (and shivering at the same time... the creeper) about this at 3 in the morning, so I thought I'd share it with you.
